All thanks to MrJansons!! Enjoy!
Gracias por publicar esta maravilla de mi compatriota Ginastera.
On the back cover there is a date: 1969. It's possible 'cause I remember this Lp on the shelves of my teens favorite store (and I didnt bought it!) somehow by that time. So double thanks for this wonderfull post!
I'd like to share with you what I learned from a professor who knew well in person the soloist Joao Carlos Martins, concerning the Ginastera Piano concerto:
The concerto was to be premiered by some other pianist. However, just a few days before the concert, that soloist was ill, so he couldn't play. Then, Ginastera asked Martins if he could play. Martins accepted and got the score by airplane and he learned the concerto during his travel from Brazil to United States. There was almost no time to rehearse with the orchestra, nevertheless the concert was successful!
real wonder. lot of thanks to ripper and uploading team.
this adventure with Ginastera concerto reminds me of the story of Berg Violin Concerto premiere in 1936.
